State Superintendent's Task Force on Wisconsin's Achievement Gap

State Superintendent Tony Evers commissioned this task force of Wisconsin educators to identify classroom‑centered best practices that can address Wisconsin’s achievement gaps.

To help close achievement gaps in the state, the group will examine and recommend:

  • proactive instructional strategies
  • resources for educators
  • local school board policy changes

The task force will meet five times in spring and summer of 2014, after which it will release:

  • a final report
  • a resource for educators focused on instructional strategies to close the achievement gap in their schools and districts

“The work of this task force is extremely important to me because it is directly connected to Agenda 2017, my vision for all of Wisconsin’s students to graduate college and career ready.”

— State Superintendent Tony Evers
